Blasen Landscape Architecture was awarded a Merit Award within the Residential Category for the Round House above Sausalito this spring 2026. A midcentury circular house was renovated, and the Blasen reimagined the landscape to embrace the circular nature of the project. New fountains and patios have stunning views out over the Bay and Angel Island. Very little is square in this project, with stone, fountains and planting all embracing curves.

We are thrilled to announce Gary's elevation to Partner at Blasen Landscape Architecture in 2025. As a member of our studio for 22 years, Gary's rigorous study of residential and well-crafted landscape design has been exemplary in developing our practice.
Gary has studied abroad in Italy and traveled extensively in Asia and Europe, which helped hone his passion for landscape architecture. He is an avid artist and the chief illustrator at our office. His cumulative construction knowledge shows in all of his projects.
Gary's mentorship and training with junior employees at BLA have been instrumental in the firm's growth and success.
In partnership with Eric and Silvina, Gary has produced projects that have won awards and been published nationally, some of our most significant accomplishments. Clients, contractors, and everyone in our office enjoy working with Gary. We are so pleased to have him as a business partner and friend.
